Chemical processes in the soil after acidification of cattle slurry with sulfuric acid in field crops
Cattle slurry was acidified with H2SO4 to reduce pH and NH3 emission during its use for fertilizing meadows. In field expts., the acidification resulted in decreasing the NH3 emission by 63% and increasing the grass crop yield from 8 t/ha up to 25 t/ha
