A Review On Hydrogen Energy Production From Electrochemical System: Benefits And Challenges
Nowadays, there is a considerable increase in global energy demand as a result of rising populations and expanding economies. Hydrogen is one of the clean alternatives to current energy shortage worldwide. Hydrogen is produced from an electrochemical process as a by-product. This study provides a review of the emergence of hydrogen gas during the electrochemical process with respect to various aspects including anode material and economy. The role of various process parameters such as pH, current density, electrolysis time, electrolyte concentration, electrolyte dose, and electrode distance and its mechanism is still unclear in the electrochemical process for hydrogen production. The economical viability of hydrogen production studies should be carried out in order to enlarge the process in continuous mode.
