The multidimensional linear discriminant anal. based on financial data of individual chem. companies as well as the entire sector and cut linear probability model were used to assess the financial condition of the Polish chem. companies in 2011-2017. The value of the discriminatory functions exceeded the limit value for all rated companies and confirmed their good financial condition. The likelihood of bankruptcy of companies estimated on the basis of the cut linear probability model was also low.
