Synthesis and Coating Characteristics of Branched Polyorganosiloxane

가지형 폴리오가노실록산을 제조하기 위하여 vinyl terminated poly(vinylmethyl-dimethyl)siloxane(VPVMS)에 monohydride terminated polydimethylsiloxane(H-PDMS)을 Pt 촉매 존재 하에 hydrosilylation시켜 branched vinyl terminated poly(vinylmethyl-dimethyl)siloxane(BVPVMS)을 합성하였다. Hydrosilylation은 VPVMS 분자량에 관계없이 VPVMS에 함유된 비닐기 양이 많을수록 빨리 진행되는 반면 수율은 VPVMS 분자량이 증가될수록, 비닐기 함량이 많을수록 감소함을 알 수 있었다. 제조된 BVPVMS를 아크릴레이트 하드 코팅제에 첨가한 결과, BVPVMS 분자량이 클수록, 가지가 많이 존재할수록 아크릴레이트와 BVPVMS에 존재하는 비닐기의 광경화에 의하여 광학 특성에 큰 감소 없이 연필 경도가 증가되며 코팅 표면 소수성이 증가됨을 확인하였다.
Branched vinyl terminated poly(vinylmethyl-dimethyl)siloxane (BVPVMS) was synthesized by the hydrosilylation of vinyl terminated poly(vinylmethyl-dimethyl)siloxane (VPVMS) with monohydride terminated polydimethylsiloxane (H-PDMS) using platinum divinyltetramethyldisiloxane as a catalyst. Vinyl content in VPVMS has a significant effect on the hydrosilylation, while the molecular weight of VPVMS has little. Yield of BVPVMS decreased with increasing molecular weight and vinyl content in VPVMS. When BVPVMS having high molecular weight applied to acrylate hard coating material, the pencil hardness increased while maintaining reasonable optical property. In addition, the surface of acrylate coating appeared to be hydrophobic surface characteristic as well.
