Fly ashes from the Belchatow power plant were mixed with portland cement in a disc granulator to produce granules (diam. 10 mm) with variable ash content in the range of 10-60% by mass. The elution of Na, K, Ca and Mg ions from aq. suspensions contg. (i) individual raw materials, (ii) their mixts., or (iii) the granules were detd. by at. absorption spectrometry. The granulation resulted in a significant redn. of the elution of the tested elements.
