Influence of Mn2+ ions on both core/shell of CuInS2/ZnS nanocrystals
The present work involves the synthesis of CuInS2/ZnS core/shell nanocrystals by hot injection method. Since CuInS2 itself is a strong luminescent material, we would like to study the influence of either the ZnS shell or Mn2+ ions dopant on CuInS2 core will enhance the luminescent property of the CuInS2 core. To find out the effect of ZnS shell and Mn2+ ions on CuInS2 core, we synthesized each of the above said nanocrystals separately and recorded their optical properties by UV-vis absorption and PL emission spectra. The band gap of the synthesized nanocrystals was confirmed by Cyclic Voltammetry. Further the influence of morphology and crystal structure of the shell and dopant on CuInS2 core was also be analyzed by recording their TEM and XRD studies. The elemental compositions of the synthesized nanocrystals were also analyzed by EDX analysis. The outcomes of the studies were agreed well with literature results.
