Thermogravimetric and kinetics analyses of olive waste treated by ultrasound-assisted enzyme hydrolysis under air atmosphere
In this research, the pyrolysis characteristic of olive waste treated by ultrasound-assisted enzyme hydrolysis (UAEH) was investigated using thermogravimetric (TG) analysis at different heating rates under air atmosphere. The thermal decomposition was divided into three stages and the main pyrolysis was observed in the second stage. Fourier transform infrared spectra (FTIR) curves depicted that the structure and composition of the samples were changed. Meanwhile, the kinetic parameters were calculated by the Kissinger-Akahira-Sunose (KAS) and Flynn-Wall-Ozawa (FWO) methods. The results revealed the similar kinetic characteristic and the average activation energy of 158.73 kJ/mol and 160.17 kJ/mol, respectively.
