Adsorbents for Dehumidification, Cooling, and Water Harvesting
Water adsorption on porous materials offers opportunities to address the increased comfort needs of mankind: sorption-assisted air-conditioning, dehumidification, and water extraction from ambient air. In the present work, three novel adsorbents, two MOFs aluminum fumarate and CAU-10-H, as well as a PMO with regard to the application are characterized. The maximum water loading of the materials is between 0.35 and 0.52gg(-1). The water exchange was calculated for various applications and the stability of the materials was investigated in a self-assembled test setup over 300 cycles.
