Adjuvants as a factor limiting the metazachlor degradation in soils contaminated with heavy metals
2-Chloro-N-(2,6-dimethylphenyl-N-(pyrazol-1-ylmethyl) acetamide (metazachlor herbicide) was applied to the soils with significantly diversified Cu, Zn and Pb contents. A high concn. of heavy metals resulted in increasing the metazachlor degradn. The addn. of metazachlor with an oil or surfactant adjuvant to the soil resulted in retardation of herbicide decompn.
