Highly selective Electrochemiluminescent probe to histidine
An iridium(III) solvent complex with non ECL emission has been synthesized and characterized by NMR, and cyclic voltammetry in this work. Under the potential stepping method in ProCell buffer solution, the electro-chemiluminescene (ECL) signals increase intensely along with the addition of histidine to this iridium(III) solvent complex buffer solution and it has much more selectivity to histidine over other amino acids, such as methionine, glycine, lysine, phenylalanine, valine, tryptophan and leucine. It's the first study to investigate an ECL probe to histidine detection based on this iridium(III) solvent complex, which may give much more inspiration for further exploring histidine or other biomolecules detection methods for electrochemical researchers.
