Dielectric Decrement in a Charging Microcapacitor
With the aid of the dynamic density functional theory of Archer, the ionic density profile, the surface charge density, and the related dielectric constant distribution in a microcapacitor were determined. It is found that theL law of the dielectric decrement is deeply affected by the ionic density profile and the excluded volume effects. While when the ionic density is very large, the excluded volume effects will play a dominating role.
