The T-shaped KrI2(ion-pair states) van der Waals complexes
The T-shaped KrI2(EOg+) van der Waals complexes have been observed and studied for the first time. Analysis of the luminescence excitation spectra as well as luminescence spectra themselves in the spectral ranges, where the I-2(EOg+ -> BOu+, DOu+ -> X O-g(+), beta 1(g) -> A1(u) D'2(g) -> A'2(u)) transitions can occur, has been carried out. Branching ratios of the iodine molecule state formation and vibronic level population, as well as the potential parameters of the KrI2(E,v(E) = 0-8, n(E)) complexes have been determined. Binding energies of the KrI2(XOg+,v(x) = 0, n(x) 0 and BOu+,v(B) = 19, n(B) = 0) complexes have been also estimated. (C) 2017 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
