Kinetics of Photopolyme rization of Acrylonitrile/Styrene(II)
Kinetics of solution photopolymerization of Acrylonitrile(AN) with inorganic salt for sensitizer such as, NaSCN, KSCN, Ba(SCN)2, NH4SCN, ZnCl2, Na2SeO3 was studied using the UV crosslinker at various monomer concentration(1.8 ~ 7.58 mol/l), salt concentration(10 ~ 60 %), reaction temperature(10 ~ 70 %), energy intensity(1000 ~ 9900 μ J/cm(2)) under isothermal condition in the stream of nitrogen.
Under irradiation of high-pressure mercury lamp(λ = 365nm) AN was polymerized to high conversion and uniform average molecular weight as compared thermal polymerization with the reaction temperature of 50 ℃, reaction time of 3hr and 50% NaSCN without any initiator.
