The thermal conversion of coal impregnated with ZnCl2
Coal is a porous combustible solid fuel. The pores can easily absorb the liquid solution of salts. ZnCl2 have the capability to absorb within the pores of coal and causes to increase the roughness of internal pore surface. The chemisorbed ZnCl2 posses the ability to effect the thermal conversion of coal. In this study, catalytic behavior of ZnCl2 for thermal decomposition of coal for low-temperature gasification was studied by varying concentration, time, and temperature.
