Further discussions on the geometry and fast diffusion of AlCl4 cluster intercalated in graphite
Han et al. comment on our recent paper "Geometry and fast diffusion of AlCl4 cluster intercalated in graphite" [Electrochim. Acta. 195 (2016) 158-165] and question the planar geometry of the AlCl4 cluster and thus the fast diffusion of the AlCl4 cluster in graphite. In this reply, we demonstrate that the planar geometry is reasonable and the ultrafast diffusion of the AlCl4 cluster is in good agreements with the experiments by Lin et al. [Nature 520 (2015) 325-328]. The reasons on why the graphite foam is better in terms of the rate performance than the natural graphite are also discussed. (C) 2016 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
