One-dimensional model of heat-recovery, non-recovery coke ovens Part IV: Numerical simulations of the industrial plant
Numerical simulations of the industrial coke plant have been carried out using the one-dimensional time-dependent mathematical model developed previously (Buczynski et al., 2016). The temperatures measured inside the coking-bed have been used to adapt the coking sub-model to the coal blend used. After such a tuning, the overall network model has predicted well the pressure and temperature distributions in the oven. The yield and composition of the raw-gas, the down-comer gas and the sole-flue gas have been correctly predicted for the whole 60-h lasting process. (C) 2016 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
