Dispersibility Switching of Carbon Nanotubes and Carbon Black by the Photoisomerization of a Cationic Azobenzene Derivative
The dispersibility of various carbon nanomaterials such as carbon nanotubes was tuned rapidly and reversibly by the photoisomerization of an azobenzene-derived aqueous dispersant. The carbon nanomaterial/dispersant hybrid exhibited rapid switching between the dispersed and aggregated states upon irradiation with UV and visible light.
