Coiled-tubing (CT) jetting offers a number of advantages over other methods used to remove domnhole deposits. By detailed design of internal fluid path, orifice geometry, jet standoff, and pump rates, tool efficiency has been improved to a level several times that previously available. Pre-engineering by use of computer simulation to optimize job-design parameters has proved essential in designing cleanout jobs and sizing CT and pumping equipment.
