SAXS study of the influence of ethanol on the microstructure of polyurethane-based membrane
SAXS studies of segmental polyurethanes show that swelling of the materials with ethanol results in the formation of small aggregates, with radius of gyration, Rp, in the range 3.5-5 nm, independently of hard segments' structure and length. The nature and formation of the small aggregates are under investigation.
