Application of dimensional analysis and similarity theory for simulation of electrode kinetics described by the Marcus-Hush-Chidsey formalism
Similarity theory and dimensional analysis were shown to be applicable for a kinetic analysis of an electrochemical reaction described by the Marcus-Hush-Chidsey (MHC) formalism. The corresponding dimensionless quantities (similarity criteria) were derived and approximating interrelations between them were analyzed. A convenient expression was obtained which connected the values of electrochemical rate constant, electrode polarization and reorganization energy in dimensionless complex coordinates.
