The thermally curable coating composition with anti-static function(AS2001) was synthesized. It was the 4th ammonium salt that has a long alkyl groups. The anti-static functional paint was formulated with AS2001 and water soluble paint. The additive amounts of AS2001 are varied from 5 to 20 wt% depending on the amount of water soluble paint. Results showed that the surface resistance(Ω/cm(2)) of coated gypsum board decreased up to 10(6)Ω/cm(2) as the amount of coating agent increased. However, water soluble paint was aggregated by 20 wt% addition of AS2001, causing coating problems. Anti-static and anti-stein effects were excellent even though 5 wt% AS2001 was added in the board.
