Synthesis and Characterization of Bismuth Sulfide Nanorods by Solvothermal Route
Bismuth sulfide nanorods were successfully synthesized via a facile solvothermal route. The product was characterized by XRD, FESEM, HRTEM, UV-vis, and PL techniques. NRD results indicated that the obtained bismuth sulfide comprised high-purity orthorhombic phases. FESEM images showed that the products had a rod-like structure with a diameter of about 40 urn and a length of about 600 nm. The optical measurements showed an E-g of 1.65 eV, which might lead to more extensive applications of the as-prepared bismuth sulfide nanorods.
