Facile Synthesis of Nanoporous Carbons with High Surface Area and Their CO2 Adsorption Properties
New nanoporous carbons were prepared by carbonization of resorcinol-formaldehyde-Pluronic F127 composite in the presence of KOH. The obtained nanoporous carbon possesses 2.4-nm mesopores and high surface area of 3277 m(2) g(-1). The obtained nanoporous carbon showed a high CO2 adsorption capacity of 6.2 mmol g(-1) at 273 K and 745 mmHg because of such high surface area and nanopores larger than 1 nm in size.
