Zinc Bis[bis(trimethylsilyl)amide] as an Efficient Lewis Acid/Bronsted Base Cooperative Catalyst for the Direct Alkynylation of Nitrones
Zinc bis[bis(trimethylsilyl)amide] (Zn(HMDS)(2)) was found to be an efficient Lewis acid/Bronsted base cooperative catalyst for the direct allcynylation of nitrones. The activity of Zn(HMDS)(2) was shown to be higher than that of other Zn species such as Zn(OTf)(2)-(Pr2NEt)-Pr-i and ZnEt2.
