Increasing the Energy Efficiency of Exhaust Gas Cleaning Systems by Using Zeolitic Smoothers
Emissions of organic solvents from batch productions result in challenges for the exhaust air treatment because the plants must be designed for the concentration and volume maximum. This causes relatively high operating costs. The use of zeolites can reduce the concentration peaks and leads to a smoothing of the concentration of solvents in the exhaust air. The behavior of the zeolites is shown based on results of a test plant. Furthermore, the economic benefits arising from the use of smoothers are discussed.
