Phenolic compounds from Scutellaria pontica
From the aerial parts of Scutellaria pontica, a phenolic glucoside, 3,5-dihydroxyphenyl beta-D-glucopyranoside (1); as well as a C-glucosyl flavon, isovitexin (2); flavones and flavone glycosides, 5-hydroxy-7,3',4-trimethoxyflavone (3); apigenin (4) apigenin-7-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (5) and apigenin-7-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside-4'-O-methylether (6) were isolated in addition to two phenylethanoid glycosides, martynoside (7) and verbascoside (= acteoside) (8). The structures of the isolated compounds were established on the basis of spectroscopic evidence.
