Studies on the effect of calcination temperature, calcination time, concentration of HNO3, and concentration of NaOH were conducted to manufacture GeO2 from domestic germanium ore by new chemical process. In order to carry out this study, chemical analysis, and X-ray diffraction analysis were performed. The content of germanium % in domestic ore was about 0.30%~0.60%. The highest content of GeO2 was obtained as 96% when calcination temperature was 1000 ℃, concentration of HNO3 was 8N, concentration of NaOH was 50%.
