EtOH, BuOH and EtMeCHOH were added (up to 15% by vol.) to a corn. Pb-free hydrocarbon gasoline (octane no. 95) to study their effect on std. distn. curves and vapor pressure. The addn. of EtOH resulted in an increase while the addn. of butanols in a decrease in the vapour pressure of the gasoline. Only small changes on distn. curves were obsd.
