Corn. mixts. of succinic, adipic and glutaric acids were esterified with MeOH at 95-120 degrees C on cation exchange resins as heterogeneous catalysts. The raw acid soln. was purified by filtration (removal of inorg. impurities) and ion exchange (removal of cations). A mixt. of Me-2 esters (b. range 192-225 degrees C, d. 1.09 g/mL) was sepd. from the reaction product. The flow diagram and material balance for the developed process were given.
