Oil-adsorption Behaviors and Kinetics of Poly(dodecylacrylate)
The synthesis of the poly(dodecylacrylate)(polyDDA) was carried out from the two kinds of monomers. One of those monomers was the long chain alkylacrylate group monomer(A) which had the solubility parameter of below 9 value and the unsaturated functional group, the other was the cross-linkable monomer(B) which had two kinds of unsaturated functional group. The synthesis of polyDDA was controlled by the reaction enetiator, gelatine, rection temperature, and concentration variation of monomer(A) and monomer(B). The prepared polyDDA was uesd to measure the oil absorption capacities and absorbed fastly each oil within 10 min for 16 species oils at temperature range from 298.15K to 333.15K.
