Behavior of Drug Release by Chitosan Molecular weight (Ⅱ)
In this study, we examined about effectives of the release drug by deacetylation and molecular weight varieties of chitosan in DDS. The release experiments on chitosan tablets containing norfloxacin were operated in the phosphate buffer solutions of pH 7.4 and 37℃ and its results were as follows. In the linearly release time of drug, chitosan tablet of molecular weight 300,000 of 228 hr and molecular weight 220,000 of 145 hr showed effectives of deacetylation, their higher deacetylation rate were delayed longer than their lower deacetylation rate. In short, the formulation allows chitosan tablets to suppress the burst effect of the drug release mechanism, which led to the controlled release pattern and micelles.
