Distributed Coordination for Connectivity Adjustment of Linear Compartmental Systems
This technical note studies a set-point regulation problem of linear compartmental systems given fixed external inputs. We solve this problem by controlling the flow rate in connections from one compartment to another compartment or to environment. For each connection channel, a distributed coordination rule adjusts its flow rate in order to achieve the set-point regulation. As a novel approach, the coordination rule requires only information of neighbor compartments; thus, it can be implemented by using only local interaction information.
