In order to improve the optical properties and printability of the paper, various filler are used in paper making. This study was performed to investigate several fillers - precipitated calcium carbonate(PCC), Ground calcium carbonate(GCC), and blend(PCC/Talc or Micro-Talc(MVP) and GCC/Talc or Micro-Talc(MVP) - for their effect on various paper properties in newsprint making.
