The shortage of raw materials requires a more intelligent and effective use of secondary resources. An innovative approach is the combination of thermal and chemical treatment from lignite ashes for metal extraction. Subject of investigations is the development of strategies for mobilization of metals from lignite based fly ashes leading to an economically viable process.
