A fast and stable integration method for simulating pressure relief of gas-generating reactions
A pressure-implicit integration method is presented which overcomes the severe time step restriction usually encountered when explicit integration methods are used in the simulation of pressure relief of gas-generating reactions. The pressure-implicit method is much simpler to implement in a simulation program than a fully implicit method. Its application leads to a considerable reduction of the computation time compared to the use of explicit methods.
