Are the so called two-phase flow densities physical and real fluid-dynamic design variables in one-dimensional critical flow?
Two-phase flow densities, with the exception of gravitational density, are not generally applicable characteristic quantities. Hence, their use in models, balances etc, can lead to spurious results. Nevertheless, attempts are often made to explain these on a physical basis.
