[기획특집: CO2 화학적 전환] 이산화탄소(CO2) 저온전기분해 기술
Low-temperature CO2 Electrolysis
Low-temperature CO2 electrolysis is expected to provide a practical way to convert CO2 to useful
chemicals, such as CO and formic acid. Utilizing polymer electrolyte membranes typically, CO2 is electrochemically reduced at cathodes, and oxygen evolution reaction occurs at anodes. For this, electricity sources from renewable or nuclear energy is required. Various researches have been reported to develop CO2 reduction electrocatalysts in order to decrease operating voltages. Also based on researched on system development, validation of commercial plants is expected.
