Comparison of phenolic acid contents in various wheat genotypes
Fourty-five winter wheat genotypes of various origin were studied for contents of ferulic, vanillic, syringic and p-coumaric acids and vanillin. The ferulic acid content mean was the highest (1119 mu g/g, p-coumaric acid was characterized by a lower mean concentration (47,5 mu g/g), while the lowest and the vanillin mean content was the lowest (4,5 mu g/g). Dendrograms for particular genotypes of Polish and European winter wheat seeds and a heatmap were developed.
