Microhydrid polymer-matrix dental composite was photochemically cured then polished and HF - etched or corundum - sandblasted, optionally silanized and joined to flow type dental composite. The bonds were tested for shear strength. The strength depended on the treated surface quality. The best results were achieved after surface polishing or sand blasting.
