Antifungal activity of Trichoderma harzianum strains resistance to iprodione
Wild-type T harzianum strains F85 and F86 as well as their mutants resistant to iprodione used in biol. and integrated plant protection were studied for prodn. of antifungal metabolites in vitro. The metabolites volatile and extd. to org. solvents inhibited growth of Fusarium culmorum, Rhizoctonia solani and Sclerotinia sclerotiorum. For the extd. metabolites, the strain Rh. solani, and for volatile ones the strain S. sclerotiorum were most sensitive. The wild strains T. hatzianum and their mutants F84-247 and F86-263 iprodione resistant showed the highest ability for biosynthesis of volatile and non-volatile metabolites. The presence of procymidone did effect neither antifunagal activity of volatile metabolites produced by mutants T harzianum nor the ability to biosynthesis to 6-n-penty1-2H-pyran-2-one 6PAP by T. harzianum strains F86-263.
