Creep Control of U-Bends Cores of Integral Ceramic Molds During Presintering
During the presintering of integral ceramic mold for hollow turbine blade, the U-bends cores usually deform greatly or even break due to creep. The creep control of U-bends cores was investigated in this study and an approach called Barycenter-Plane Method was firstly proposed and adopted. A Finite Element Analysis model was built to simulate the process and the results indicated that creep was restrained as the stress and the steady-state creep rate decreased by 58% and 47%, respectively. Based on the analysis of X-Ray Scan, the validity of this method was also testified in experiments.
