Electrochemical nucleation on active sites - what do we measure in reality? Part II
The paper considers the process of nucleus formation accounting for non-stationary nucleation effects due to the changing number of active sites. Theoretical expressions are derived for the current I-p(t) of progressive nucleation in three particular cases depending upon the growth mechanism of the single clusters : charge transfer control, diffusion control and combined diffusion and migration control of the growth current.
