The general analytical solution corresponding to any multipotential step problem for a catalytic mechanism is presented. This deduction has been carried out rigorously without considering the reaction layer approximation. This solution is therefore applicable to any double and triple potential techniques, and also to any multipulse potential techniques, such as staircase voltammetry and square-wave voltammetry.
