Linear-Analysis of Steady-State E-Q, Eqc and Eqc’ Voltammograms
A linear method of analyzing quasi-reversible steady-state voltammograms is presented. On the basis of it, an algorithm was formed which can be used to calculate the kinetic parameters : standard rate constant (k(o)), transfer coefficient (alpha), and formal potential (E-o’), reliably and precisely at the same time, from a straight line of a logarithmic function g(I,E) vs. E, which is similar to the conventional method for the reversible or totally irreversible reactions. It can also be used in analysis of steady-state EqC and EqC’ voltammograms to obtain the parameters mentioned above, together with the homogeneous reaction rate constant (k(c)). This algorithm avoids the problem of choosing initial values of the variables.
