A model description is presented of the conductance of H+ + D+ in mixed H2O + D2O solution. The result of a mathematical derivation agrees very well with the non-linear dependence of the conductance on the isotopic mixing ratio, known since 1935, and that has never been explained satisfactorily. The experimental diffusion coefficient varies similarly.
