The Polarographic-Behavior of the Corrosion-Inhibitor Dibenzylsulfoxide
D.c. and a.c. polarographic data confirm that the corrosion inhibitor dibenzylsulfoxide is reducible in its protonated form at the mercury electrode. The two-electron reduction process yields dibenzylsulfide as the major product. Both oxidized and reduced forms are strongly adsorbed to negative potentials of the hydrogen evolution reaction.
