Electrodeposition Study on Ultramicroelectrodes .2. Different Growth Modes in Ag Crystallization
The influence of the electrochemical treatment of the electrode, the supporting electrolyte concentration and the applied potential, on the formation of current steps as well as on the growth patterns was studied for silver electrodeposition on carbon microelectrodes. The results are compared with those obtained previously on platinum. The most interesting result is the "two-dimensional" dense branching structure with radial symmetry which was obtained for the first time in silver electrodeposits in a conventional cell.
