Development of Transition Metal Catalysts for Selective Oxidation of CO in PEMFC
Transition metal catalysts were used for selective oxidation of carbon monoxide in the methanol reforming gas with excess hydrogen. In this study, we found that Cu/CeO2 catalyst prepared by co-precipitation and Iiquid phase oxidation(CP-LPO) was active for the reaction. As the increase of Cu loading, BET surface area and micropore volume of the catalyst increased and the lattice constant of CeO2 decreased. During pretreatment, the catalyst formed the solid-solution of Cu-Ce-O, resultng in the generation of catalytic activity.
