The Role of Secondary Effects in the Radiochemical Study of Interfacial Phenomena at Metal-Electrodes - Potentialities of Methods Based on the Study of X-Radiation, Bremsstrahlung, Induced by Beta(-) Particles
An attempt is made to modify the classical measuring technique generally used for radiotracer studies using isotopes emitting beta-radiation. The technical problems connected with the measurement of X-rays induced by beta particles absorbed in various media are discussed. The experimental feasibility of the new method is demonstrated by two illustrative examples using Ni-63 and Tc-99 isotopes for labelling in the study of electrodeposition and dissolution processes.
