Using microwave heating for synthesis of SrCO3 nanostructures with different morphologies

Strontium carbonate (SrCO3) nanostructures were synthesized successfully via simple microwave approach by Sr(NO3)2, carbonate powder and sodium hydroxide (NaOH) as reagents. The effects of microwave time and power were investigated on product size and morphology. The products were characterized with X-ray diffraction pattern (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Ultraviolet-visible (UV-vis) and room temperature photoluminescence spectroscopy (PL).
